“In the English-language browser game Passengers, the player takes on the role of a smuggler who brings refugees across the Mediterranean to Europe. In preparation for the journey, you decide on a boat (from a wreck to a speedboat) and bribes that you are willing to pay to the authorities. Once you have decided which destination in Europe you want to reach, the next task is to choose which refugees to take with you on the journey. ” (zfdc.de)

The game itself does not have an age restriction, but is recommended for players above the age of 12.

“Passengers addresses a very topical issue with migration and flight, but at the same time offers a new perspective on the associated problems. This makes it ideal for use primarily in the subjects of politics and social studies, but it can also be used in the subject of ethics, where the question of what is the right thing to do is addressed.
